My name is JULIÁNNA VÁRI, and my nickname for my friends is Lya. I was born in 1967, in Szeghalom in Hungary. I started to learn and became fond of shaping ceramics in Majolika factory in Hódmezővásárhely. My work taked me far away from the world of arts, because later I was working in a hospital. In 1998 I gave birth to my first child, Noemi and after that to my second daugher Vivien, who was born in 2001.
Together with my children I strated to use again pencil and water-colour. In the beginning I was painting with them, after that, for them… Summer of 2004, I tried to paint with oil-tempera. Spring of 2005, started to paint with oil-colours. I learnt painting by myself at home, and I always try out new technic in every new painting, that is the reason, why my paintings are so different.
My doughters give me inspiration, so each of my painting has it own story. “We” are working all the time, we are walking now in deep down of Fairyland. I hope, that my paintings will bring joy not only to children, but to all of you.
